Introducing NFK Subscriptions!

If you like NewsForKids.net, but don’t like the ads, we’ve got good news for you: Now you can subscribe to support NFK and go ad-free.

When we launched NewsForKids.net nearly two years ago, we had the goal of bringing high-quality, engaging, understandable news to kids everywhere – for free. We wanted kids around the world to have equal access, whether they were in the US, Ecuador, Vietnam, Greece, or Mozambique.

Today, NewsForKids.net is read in homes and classrooms all over the world. The free part remains really important to us. We know how tight classroom budgets can be. We also know how hard it is to find quality news sites that are free and truly kid-friendly.

But NewsForKids.net takes a lot of time and money to produce. That’s why we carry a few ads, as much as we dislike advertisements. The ads help defray a portion of the costs of running the site. But they don’t cover enough.

Like most news organizations, we’d always envisioned a subscription model for NewsForKids.net. It’s just taken a while to implement. We’re very pleased to announce that today NewsForKids.net is launching its subscription program. Subscriptions are available on a monthly or yearly basis.

If you enjoy NewsForKids.net and would like to keep it going, please consider subscribing!

What Can I Expect?

If you subscribe, you’ll have your own login and ads will be turned off for you as long as you are logged in and your subscription is valid.

We are considering additional features for the future, such as a newsletter or classroom subscriptions. But for right now, the main benefits are turning off advertising and the satisfaction of knowing you’re supporting a quality news site for kids.
