The teachers in West Virginia did not go back to school last Thursday. They were worried that the West Virginia Congress would not pass the governor’s raise.
But on Tuesday, March 6, the Congress said okay to a 5% pay raise for the teachers. They gave the same raise to everyone who works for the state. Teachers and students will now go back to school after the nine day strike.
