Britain’s King Charles Visits Washington, DC
Britain’s King Charles III, and his wife, Queen Camilla, arrived yesterday for a four-day state visit to Washington, DC. It’s a chance for the leaders to talk. It’s also a way for one country to show that they honor and respect the other country.

This is the first visit by a British monarch since Queen Elizabeth visited in 2007. Some people are hoping that the visit will help rebuild the special relationship between the two countries. There will be many challenges in reaching that goal.
This article has been updated to reflect that the dinner was held on Saturday, April 25, not Sunday.
